The Personal Income Tax filing deadline has been deferred to June 1, 2020.

In order to ensure accurate GST credits and Child Tax Benefits after June, 2020, CRA is encouraging taxpayers to file their returns in as timely a fashion as possible.

If you expect to owe money to the government, you don't have to delay filing. You can file your taxes at any time, then wait to pay your bill until the new September 1, 2020 deadline without interest.

While we recommend not delaying your tax filings, we realize that this will be necessary for some clients. Focus on your health, and that of your family, first. You can rest assured that we will be there to get your returns completed and filed by the extended deadlines.
